Internet Marketing is one of the most popular professions today most likely caused by the huge unemployment rate throughout the country. While many new Internet Marketing are surfacing, many more are shying away from setting up a business online. Much of this is due to the many Internet Marketing "myths" that circulate around the Internet. The fact is that many of the rumors are false and the truth would most likely change many people's minds about Internet Marketer. Before one is ready to learn Internet Marketing it is necessary to debunk a few of the myths that many have most likely come by.
1) “Internet Marketing is an Easy Way to Get Rich”
If Internet Marketing was simply a “get rich scheme” then why are people still working at fast food restaurants? Internet Marketing is NOT a get rich scheme but that doesn’t mean you can’t get rich from it. Thousands of Internet Marketers are made into millionaires each year, but that comes with the same work it requires to be successful in anything else.
Don’t be fooled. You won’t become the next Internet millionaire overnight, but I guarantee if you stick with it, Internet Marketing will allow you to find more success than you ever dreamed of.
2) “You Must Have Technical Skills”
Wrong. Countless “computer illiterates” are making a killing as Internet Marketers. What’s more important is whatever technical skills you think you might need, I can assure you there is an easier way of doing it. Internet Marketing has advanced a great deal in recent years so much that even complete websites can be built using “drag and drop” technology. No experience required.
3) “You Must Have a Website to Do Business Online”
This is something nearly everybody new to Internet Marketing believes but it couldn’t be further from the truth. While having a website can really help an Internet Marketer’s business, there are countless people online making without the use of a single webpage.
4) “It Takes Money to Make Money Online”
In Internet Marketing, many recommend paying for things such as websites, traffic and more, but nearly every aspect of Internet Marketing can be done for free. Websites can be built and designed for free, traffic can be generated without paying large fees and software and content can even be acquired for free.
5) “It Takes Months Before You Can Make Money Online”
While this is a true for many Internet Marketers, plenty of people have made money online shortly after starting out. Some “gurus” even claim to have made their first dollars within a few hours of being online.
6) “It’s Hard to Make Money Online Without Marketing Experience”
Don’t have a marketing degree? Don’t worry, because your background doesn’t matter.
